Foreign-Language Church Services
There are 2 major Christian churches with English language Easter services (that we are aware of). If you know of any others, please reach out to us.
Downtown:
St. Ignatius Cathedral will have Easter vigil at 9pm on April 19 and the Easter Sunday mass at 12pm on April 20.
Pudong/Jinqiao:
Sacred Heart Church is a Catholic Church in Biyun/Jinqiao with Easter services: Easter vigil at 9.30pm on April 19 and the Easter Sunday mass at 11am on April 20.
Chinese Language Church Services
All Saints Church in Fuxing Zhong Lu has an evening Chinese Easter Mass at 7pm, on Friday, April 18, and Chinese mass at 7pm on Sunday, April 20.
St. Joseph's Church in Sichuan Nan Lu has an evening Chinese Easter Mass at 7pm, on Friday and Saturday, April 18&19, and Chinese mass at 7am and 9am on Sunday, April 20.
Sheshan Marian Basilica in Sheshan has a Chinese Mass at 9am on April 20, Sunday.
Qibao Church have a Sunday Easter service at 7:30am and 10am on April 20.

Cachet All Day Dining offers a seasonal Easter buffet at its modern Xintiandi location, inviting guests to enjoy the flavors of spring in a festive setting. Families dining in for the lunch buffet on Easter Day will receive a special Easter egg as part of the celebration.
Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai invites families to celebrate Easter with a variety of seasonal offerings from April 14 to 21. Highlights include a refined Easter-themed Afternoon Tea at the Lobby Lounge, a global buffet brunch at YICAFE with festive kids’ activities, and a five-course French brunch at Jade on 36 with Bund views and Prosecco specials. Little guests dining at the hotel can enjoy egg painting and games in the Kids’ Zone, while Gourmet offers artisanal Easter treats and a limited-edition cake.
Celebrate Easter Sunday at Tomatito with guest chef Koen Vessies, who’s bringing a lineup of seasonal tapas and festive fun. From 14 to 20 April 2025, Jing An Shangri-La, Shanghai, marks Easter with a range of seasonal dining options and lighthearted activities. Calypso Restaurant & Lounge offers a Mediterranean three-course set menu in its signature glasshouse setting, while Café Liang presents an intimate buffet lunch with international selections. The 1515 West Chophouse & Bar features a three-course brunch sharing menu for two, including a 1515 Butchers Sharing Board with items such as Uruguayan WAGYU M6 flank steak, half roasted chicken, New Zealand lamb chop, and pork sausage. On 19 and 20 April from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., guests staying at the hotel or dining at any of its restaurants can join Easter-themed activities at Café Liang, including games and workshops such as egg painting, puzzles, and face painting. Children may also participate in a lucky draw for prizes like hotel stays and dining vouchers.
Paulaner Shanghai marks the Easter season with a limited set menu available at all three of its restaurants. The menu includes a range of seasonal dishes such as golden curry chicken puff pastry infused with South Asian spices, wild rice served with a rich savory gravy, teriyaki salmon fillet offering a balance of tender texture and umami flavor, and marinated lamb chops with herbs, accompanied by spring vegetables.
